ABL training recognized by the SCDOR

The South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR) recognizes the following programs for:
  • Purposes of mitigating circumstances when the employee committing the violation has completed a recognized training program, §§61-4-50(C) and 61-6-4080(C), or;
  • Providing alcohol enforcement training for the employees who serve beer at breweries or alcoholic liquors at micro-distilleries and liquor manufacturers to consumers for on-premises consumption. §§61-4-1155(C)(5) and 61-4-1515(A)(8)

How do you get your training program recognized by the SCDOR​?​

Please follow the two steps below to have your training program reviewed and approved to be included in the list above.

  1. Your training program must be reviewed and approved by the South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (SCDAODAS) to be recognized by the Department of Revenue.  DAODAS will need access to all materials to include but not limited to course curriculum, trainer’s notes/instructions, presentations, and participant guides.

  2. Submit the approval from SCDAODAS along with your program contact information to Alcohol Beverage Licensing via email to: ABL@dor.sc.gov​
