PREPARING FOR TAX SEASON? YOU CAN NOW ACCESS PAST COPIES OF INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX RETURNS ON MYDORWAY!

What you need to know:

Taxpayers can now access transcripts of past SC Individual Income Tax returns if they have an account in MyDORWAY, the SCDOR’s free online tax portal.
Both primary and secondary taxpayers who have filed joint Individual Income Tax returns can access those transcripts.
Transcripts can be accessed starting with tax year 2021. Taxpayers will need to file the SC4506 for years prior to 2021.

South Carolina taxpayers can now access transcripts of past state Individual Income Tax returns online using MyDORWAY, the SCDOR's free online tax portal.

Taxpayers previously had to use a paper form to request copies of Individual Income Tax returns. But now you can quickly access transcripts from tax years 2021 and 2022 in PDF format after logging into your account on MyDORWAY.

Need to access Individual Income Tax transcripts in MyDORWAY?

Start by creating a MyDORWAY account at dor.sc.gov/MyDORWAY-signup. You'll need your SSN and either your last tax payment amount, last refund amount, a Letter ID, or line 1 from your last return.
Once you've created an account, log in to MyDORWAY.
Select the Accounts tab, scroll to your Individual Income Tax account, and click View Returns and Periods.
Under Period, select either the 31-Dec-2021 or 31-Dec-2022 period, then click Print Return Transcript.

The feature is available for both primary and secondary taxpayers if they file a joint return.
You cannot access transcripts from MyDORWAY if you do not have a MyDORWAY account.
For transcripts from tax years 2020 and earlier, download and submit the SC4506 to the SCDOR. You can choose to have your transcripts mailed or emailed to you. We cannot provide copies of returns filed more than 6 years ago.

MyDORWAY is also the best way to access summaries of past business tax returns!

This feature is available for any business tax return you've filed on MyDORWAY, including Sales Tax and Withholding Tax.
Once you've logged in, selected the Accounts tab, and scrolled to the correct account, click View Returns and Periods.
Select the filing period you need a summary for, click File, View or Amend, then select Print in the upper right part of your screen.
You can also use your MyDORWAY account to access records of other actions taken in MyDORWAY, such as payments.
Accessing records in MyDORWAY is a huge timesaver for business managers, since you don't have to wait for the SCDOR to mail copies of past returns to you!
