Submit a FOIA or subpoena request to the SCDOR

Under South Carolina law, the SCDOR is prohibited from divulging certain confidential taxpayer information. See S.C. Code Ann. § 12-54-240.

NOTE: Parties issuing subpoenas to the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR) are encouraged to upload their subpoena request electronically th​rough the SCDOR Subpoena Records Center. However, please be advised that all ​subpoenas directed to the SCDOR or its Director/officers must comply with the service requirements of Rule 4 of the South Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure. For subpoenas submitted via the SCDOR Subpoena Records Center, the SCDOR Office of General Counsel​ may work with the issuing party to acknowledge acceptance of service as permitted under Rule 4(j), SCRCP.
