What's New for Software Developer​s​

​​​​The 2024 Software Developer Guide​ has been updated and revamped for the new year. The guide now includes substitute form specifications, preferred language, and instructions for the Software Developer’s portal in addition to the usual form change information.

The SCDOR requires a yearly Letter of Intent (LOI)​ before ​you can be approved for submitting MeF and paper forms for review. Email your complet​ed LOI to LOISubmissions@dor.sc.gov by August 12, 2024. After the SCDOR has ​​approved your LOI, you will receive an acceptance email and more information about our new forms submission process. You will not be able to submit forms for review until you have received the acceptance email.

  • MeF material is availab​le via the State Exchange, and all questions regarding MeF should be directed to MeF@dor.sc.gov. 

  • All submissions are assigned within 1-2 business days of receipt, and will then be processed within 10 business days. Please note South Carolina state holidays may have an impact on those timelines.

  • ​Taxpayers are required to file the following forms electronically, and no longer provide updates for the paper versions of these forms. Taxpayers who file these forms by paper may be subject to a $500 fine for each paper return filed:
