Our Law Enforcement Officers play a vital role in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment at our offices. In this position, you’ll operate advanced screening equipment, patrol assigned areas, respond to emergencies, investigate incidents, and provide dispatch services. Salary range: $53,300 - $66,600  

Schedule:  

• 7.5-hour shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
• No on-call hours; no night or weekend shifts

Preferred qualifications:  

• Certified or formerly certified law enforcement officer  
• Experience performing patrol or investigative duties with a public law enforcement agency  
• Bachelor’s degree

Additional requirements:

• A valid driver’s license  
• Currently possess Class 1 Basic Law Enforcement Certification or be able to obtain  
• Must be physically able to lift, bend, and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to obtain an SC Constable Commission I as required by SLED
• May require occasional statewide travel and overnight stay

Salary range: $55,275 - $103,900

Schedule:  

• Flexible hours are available from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week).
• Hybrid schedules may be available with up to two days of telework per week after one year of employment with SCDOR. 

Preferred qualifications:  

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with at least 18 hours of accounting and experience in accounting, auditing, finance, insurance, or tax preparation and/or analysis (transcript required)
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for field work ​(mileage reimbursement is provided)

• Hybrid schedules may be available with up to two days of telework per week after one year of employment with SCDOR. 

Preferred qualifications (one of the following):  

• A high school diploma and four years of experience in accounting, auditing, or bookkeeping OR
• An associate’s degree with two years of experience in accounting, auditing, or bookkeeping OR​
• A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses (transcript required)
