When to expect longer wait times:
- Noon - 2 p.m. (Monday - Friday)
Mondays are the busiest day of the week. - The next business day after a holiday
- The 20th of the month (Sales Tax due)
Please consider these peak busy days and times when planning your visit to one of our offices.
What to bring:
- A valid photo ID
- Your file number, along with the FEIN or SSN connected to the visit
- A signed Power of Attorney if you're representing someone else
- The relevant SCDOR letter, bill, or notice if that's what your visit is concerning
- Completed paperwork and applications you plan to submit during your visit
Payment options:
- Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
- Money order
- Checks that are mailed or brought to an office may be converted into a debit (ACH) transaction for faster processing.
Please be aware:
- You cannot bring food, drinks, or weapons inside any SCDOR location.
- Cell phones must be silenced during your visit.
- We cannot prepare tax returns or complete applications.
- Alcohol Beverage License and Coin Operated Device applications are not guaranteed the same day if they are accepted after 4 p.m.
Satellite Offices
While our Taxpayer Service Centers are open regularly, our Satellite Offices are open periodically in locations across the state. Be sure to check the hours when searching for a Satellite Office location.
Beginning March 1, we will no longer provide service at our satellite offices in Bennettsville, Dillon, and Sumter. These locations have previously been open once a month for taxpayer assistance.
- February 11 will be the last day to get assistance at our Sumter and Dillon locations.
- February 12 will be the last day to get assistance at our Bennettsville location.
- Taxpayers in these areas are encouraged to visit our nearby Florence office for in-person assistance.
