Business Personal Property Tax (BPP) is a tax on the furniture, fixtures, and equipment that are owned and used in a business. Depending on your location and NAICS code, the MyDORWAY Business Tax Application will prompt you to apply for a Business Personal Property Tax Account. Visit our BPP page for more details.
Withholding Tax is taken out of taxpayer wages to go towards the taxpayers' total yearly Income Tax liability. Every employer or withholding agent that has an employee earning wages in South Carolina (and who is required to file a return or deposit with the IRS) must make a return or deposit to the SCDOR for any taxes that have been withheld for state purposes.
If you have an employee who works in South Carolina (even if you have no physical presence in South Carolina), you must apply for a Withholding account in South Carolina and file quarterly SC Withholding returns. Apply online using MyDORWAY while completing your Business Tax Application.
