Filing deadline extended to October 15, 2026

Taxpayers may need additional time to file, so the SCDOR is automatically extending the tax filing due date for all 2025 South Carolina Individual Income Tax returns to October 15, 2026.

Alcohol server training deadline extended to May 1, 2026

Servers and managers who have not yet completed an approved alcohol server training program as required under SC Code Section 61-3-120(B) now have until May 1, 2026 to complete training.

Williamsburg County adding new Capital Projects Tax on May 1

Williamsburg County is adding a new Capital Projects Tax, effective May 1, 2026. As a result, its Sales Tax rate will increase to 8%.

Retailers should begin collecting the Capital Projects Tax when making sales and deliveries in Williamsburg County beginning May 1.
