MyDORWAY is the SCDOR's free, online tax portal. Using MyDORWAY, you can quickly and easily apply for licenses, file returns, make payments, message us, and more!
When signing up for MyDORWAY, you will first be asked to select the access type that describes the role you will perform when using MyDORWAY: Individual, Tax Account Manager, or Business Owner.
MyDORWAY users with Individual access can perform the following actions, provided that the individual has presented proper validation to MyDORWAY:
Tax Account Managers have access to all employer and client accounts using one MyDORWAY username and password. Tax Account Managers must request access to a Business Owner's account to see only the information they need to perform their role as a Tax Account Manager — no need to create separate log ins for each client's business tax account!
In addition to the actions available to Individuals (listed above), Tax Account Managers can also change or edit mailing and location addresses for their employer and client accounts.
Business Owners can manage all of their business accounts by signing in with one MyDORWAY username and password.
In addition to the actions an Individual and Tax Account Manager can perform (see above), Business Owners can also:

Yes. MyDORWAY allows you to create a Tax Account Manager profile and request access to manage all of your clients' tax accounts using your own MyDORWAY username and password. You do not need to create additional log ins for each of your clients.

Your MyDORWAY password cannot be the same as your username, and it must:
After creating a new MyDORWAY account, you’ll receive a one-time temporary password that expires after two hours. Use that temporary password the first time you log in. You’ll then be required to finish setting up your authentication methods before accessing your account.
If you want to log in using a password, you must enter your new password and create at least one additional authentication method (authentication app, phone, or email). We recommend setting up multiple authentication methods in case you lose access to your phone or email address.
You can choose to log in to MyDORWAY without a password by clicking Go passwordless. To use this option, you must set up at least two additional authentication methods.
While you’re on this screen, you can also set up a Passkey, which allows you to log in to MyDORWAY using your fingerprint, face, or PIN instead of a username and password. We also recommend viewing your Recovery Codes and storing them in a safe place.
If you want to manage how you log in to MyDORWAY in the future, select Manage My Profile, located in the top-right corner of the page, then click the Security tab.
Only MyDORWAY users with Business Owner access can add, remove, or modify another user’s access. For you to grant access to a third party (i.e., tax manager, accountant, employee, etc.), they must first request access to your accounts.
For full account access instructions, go to MyDORWAY and click the Can I help? button to open our chatbot Dorwin, and type: request account access
MyDORWAY users with Tax Account Manager access can NOT change another user's access.
Changing your legal name
Filing using a different name than we have on record can slow down processing and even delay your refund. If you've legally changed your name, update it with us before filing.

For security and accessibility reasons, the SCDOR strongly discourages businesses from sharing MyDORWAY accounts. Each user should sign up for their own MyDORWAY account by first sending you an access request for the tax accounts they need to manage.
To change your MyDORWAY password:
If you forgot your MyDORWAY password, you may still be able to log in:
If you have at least two other forms of authentication set up, click Choose another way to sign in. You can still log in if you can authenticate yourself using two email, text message, or authentication app security codes. Once you’re logged in, I recommend updating your password.
You can also enter a one-time Recovery Code or answer your Security Question. If you enter a Recovery Code, you’ll be required to add at least one new authentication method once you log in. If you answer your Security Question, you’ll be required to reset your password.
If you’re unable to log in using one of the above methods, you must contact the SCDOR to regain access to your account.
Once you’ve logged in, we recommend setting up a Passkey, which allows you to log in to MyDORWAY using your fingerprint, face, or PIN instead of a username and password. Plus, you don't have to use two-step verification if you log in using a passkey.
To log in using a passkey, click Sign in with a passkey on the MyDORWAY homepage.
To add or change your passkeys:
If you have forgotten your username, you will need to create a new MyDORWAY account. The SCDOR cannot send your MyDORWAY username to you.
Your MyDORWAY account history will be available to you once you’ve validated your identity and created a new account.
Users who enter an incorrect password three times will be locked out of their account. If you have at least two other forms of authentication set up, click Choose another way to sign in.
You can still log in if you can authenticate yourself using two email, text message, or authentication app security codes.
If you can authenticate yourself using one email, text message, or authentication app security code, you’ll have the option to answer your security question or enter a one-time recovery code.
Once you’re logged in, I recommend updating your password.
If you’re unable to log in using one of the above methods, you must contact the SCDOR to regain access to your account.
There are several possible solutions:
If you’re unable to log in using one of the above methods, you must contact the SCDOR to regain access to your account. For security reasons, SCDOR representatives cannot tell you the email address or phone number associated with your MyDORWAY account.
Passkeys allow you to log in to MyDORWAY using your fingerprint, face, or PIN instead of a username and password. Plus, you don't have to use two-step verification if you log in using a passkey. To get started:
You can use the Filter bar in lists to narrow down the information displayed. A simple way to filter is by typing a keyword into the search bar.
If you’d like to filter by column, type the column name you want to filter by, followed by less than (<), greater than (>), or equal to (=), and your filter criteria in quotes. To filter by more than one criteria use and, not, and or between your filters.
You can also click the column headers to sort the content in a list.
Yes, you can choose to log in to MyDORWAY without a password by logging in, selecting Manage My Profile, and clicking the Security tab. On the next screen, click Go passwordless. To use this option, you must set up at least two additional authentication methods, including an authentication app, phone, or email.
We also recommend setting up a passkey if you choose to use MyDORWAY without a password.
Even if you do have a password set up for your MyDORWAY account, you can log in without using it if you have set up at least two additional authentication methods.
If you can’t log in using passwords, security codes, or a passkey, you may be able to access your account using a one-time Recovery Code.
If that’s the case, and you need to use a Recovery Code, click Choose another way to verify, then select Use a recovery code on the next screen.
