SCDOR agents served warrants on Robert John May III on Thursday and charged him with three counts of failing to file and pay South Carolina Individual Income Tax.

According to the warrants, May, 39, did not file returns or pay South Carolina Income Tax from 2022-2024. For those three years, he had a total gross income of $323,000. As a result, he owes the state $14,637 in Income Tax.

If convicted, May faces a maximum sentence for each count of one year in prison and/or a $10,000 fine, plus the cost of prosecution. He is currently being held in the Edgefield County Detention Center, where he is awaiting sentencing on unrelated charges for which he pleaded guilty in September.
