Filing requirements
All Motor Fuel taxpayers are required to file electronically using MyDORWAY, our free online tax portal. Learn more about the filing requirements for each license type below.
MyDORWAY is a secure online platform that offers taxpayers a way to file, pay, and manage all motor fuel tax accounts.
The MyDORWAY tax portal allows three filing options for Motor Fuel tax returns:
- XML file uploads
- Excel file uploads
- Manual Entry
The filing option you are required to use is based on the return that you are filing. Each return type requires you to select one option for filing.

You must file a Tax Return for each filing period, even if you have no tax liability for the period.
