All telecommunications companies licensed in South Carolina are required to submit an annual report to the SCDOR to report gross income from retail telecommunications for South Carolina.
Read carefully before submitting your report:
- You should only submit a report if you were mailed a letter or sent an email stating you need to file the Telecommunications Annual Report.
- Companies are required to report gross income from retail telecommunications for the previous calendar year for either or both municipal franchise and consent income.
- Include your 499 Filer ID.
- Do not include equipment and installation charges.
- Report gross income for your primary business activities. If applicable, be sure to use your registered category with the FCC for your reporting, and include it at the top of the form.
- Failure to submit the Telecommunications Annual Report may result in your company being non-compliant.
This report is required by SC Code Section 58-9-2630. The SCDOR shares the report with other agencies, including the Municipal Association of South Carolina.
Refer to SC Code Sections 58-9-2630 and 58-9-2220 for additional information about this reporting requirement.
