The SCDOR reminds shoppers that school supplies, computers, clothes, shoes, and other school-year essentials can be purchased without paying Sales Tax during South Carolina’s annual Tax Free Weekend, which runs August 1-3, 2025.
Glad you asked! During Tax Free Weekend (also called the Sales Tax Holiday), eligible items can be purchased without paying the state's 6% Sales Tax and any applicable local taxes.
