What you need to know:
- 2023 South Carolina Individual Income Tax returns are due Monday, April 15, 2024.
- File online and choose direct deposit for faster and more accurate processing.
- If you don’t think you’ll be able to file by Monday, you may need to request an extension.
If you've waited until the last minute to file your tax return, well, it's almost the last minute. Monday, April 15, 2024 is the deadline to file your 2023 South Carolina Individual Income Tax return.
As of April 5, more than 1.6 million returns have been filed, about 96% of them electronically. If you've put off filing until now, the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR) has the following tips to help the process go as smoothly as possible.
